As I am writing this post, it is 32 degrees and snowing outside. So, I think it is about time to dust off some pictures from the homestead years (2000-2021). This picture was in the middle of those years. I think I counted 18 birds in the photo and all of them are cardinals. There were also dozens more in the bushes around the garden. The safflower seeds are probably primarily responsible for that crowd loving our feeders.
