#82 – Beulah

This is a pen & ink drawing of my last pet. Her name was Beulah. As mentioned above it was taken just after a 6″ snowfall in 2017. Beulah was, as most of our pets were, a rescue. She was skin and bones before my wife managed to get her into our fenced in back yard.

She became my “shadow” as she would never let me out of her sight. After she got her weight back she was 40 lbs of love. She thought she was a lap dog and frequently jumped on top of me when I was taking a daily nap. Beulah lived another two years before cancer took her down. We decided that she would be our last pet as another dog would likely outlive us.

She was my “sweetie pie”. I still miss her much
